Refraction returns to Miami on December 8th for a day-to-night session of talks, music and art. In partnership with new music streaming platform Sona, we're taking over Understory in Little River, celebrating the city's finest local and international culture.
Joined by our friends at Miami Community Radio, Resident Advisor, Sona and FWB, the day will kick off with a series of talks digging into the future of creative collaboration, and the storied history of Miami's music scene. Come early for conversations with leaders at MUTEK, Adidas, and more— full talks programming to be announced.
Resident Advisor will host their flagship Playing Favourites feature format, in which artists to speak about their favourite records in their collections. For this special live edition hosted at Refraction Miami, one of the architects of the Chicago house scene, Ron Trent, will step up for an exclusive listening session.
As the sun sets, we've invited some of our favourite selectors to heat up the dance floor. Expect classics and curveballs from hometown heroes, and masterclass sets from Jubilee and Ron Trent.
We've got a few surprises and secret guests up our sleeve, so don't think you've seen all our cards yet!

Refraction and The Department of Decentralization are presenting the art programming at this year’s ETHBerlin from May 24-26. The exhibition is curated through an Open Call. Interested artists can submit their artwork from April 10th to May 10th.
