After launching in May 2023, Refraction is pleased to open the first proposal round for our Creative Grants Community Fund (fondly referred to as 'CGCF').
The Community Fund is the next iteration of Refraction’s grants programme, introducing a regenerative model for Refraction to support projects, and allowing the community to have a larger stake in decision making. The CGCF has kindly been supported by the BuilderDAO community, which has provided 20ETH to be distributed during proposal rounds. You can learn more about the Fund here.
During the inaugural round, 8ETH will be available for artists and communities to propose creative projects which empower, engender and celebrate digital arts. Interested applicants must be holding a CGCF NFT pass to submit a proposal, and 4 proposals of 2ETH will be awarded.
The proposal round will begin on October 2nd @ 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm UTC and will close on October 9th @ 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm UTC, at which point the voting period will begin.
During the voting period, only wallets holding a CGCF NFT pass will be able to vote on proposals. Prospective projects will be encouraged to join a Twitter Spaces on October 11th @ 9am PT / 12pm ET / 4pm UTC to discuss their projects with the Refraction community.
The voting period will close on October 14th @ 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm UTC, and funds will be distributed in the following week to ratified proposals.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be holding a CGCF NFT before the proposal period begins on October 2nd to be eligible to propose and vote on projects. CGCF passes can currently be bid on here.
